MojNews-Iran's national beach volleyball team defeated Thailand at 23rd Samila Open. 

In the semifinal, the Iranian team comprised of Abbas Pourasgari and Alireza Aghajanighasab won 2-1 against Thailand team A and advanced to the final match of the sporting event.

Iran will compete with Australia in the final match on Tuesday.

Iran had a great run in the tournament as they defeated India, Maldives, and Qatar in the preliminary stages. In the next stage, Iran also beat Japan team B, and Indonesia B to advance to the semifinal.

The AVC Beach Volleyball Tour “23rd Samila Open” is underway in Songkhla, Thailand from April 13-16, 2024.
