MojNews-Touran Mehrzad was konwn for her remarkable performances on screen, stage, and radio. 

Born as Fatemeh Bozorgmehri-Rad in Tehran in 1930, Mehrzad was not only a talented actress but also the sister of the late Iran Bozorgmehr, known for her dubbing skills. 

She embarked on her artistic journey back in 1944 under the guidance of acclaimed theater director Abdolhossein Nushin. Mehrzad thrived as one of the prominent members of Nushin Group, captivating audiences at Ferdowsi Theater and Saadi Theater. Her foray into radio performances began in 1956, followed by dubbing in 1959. In 1968, she made her mark on the silver screen with her performance in the film "The Dragon Gorge," directed by Siamak Yasami. 

In 1973, Mehrzad transitioned to television acting. Notably, she has the distinction of being the first female announcer to recite the morning prayer on the radio.

Mehrzad, one of the few remaining icons of Iran's earliest radio generation, possessed a voice that left an indelible mark on radio shows and distinguished herself as a skilled dubber. She lended her voice to renowned actresses such as Susan Howard, Sophia Loren, Gina Lollobrigida, and Lauren Bacall.

Throughout her career, Mehrzad portrayed memorable characters that have resonated with audiences. Notably, she is known for her roles as Mahshid's mother in "Hamun" (1989) and Leila's mother in "Leila" (1996), both directed by Dariush Mehrjuii.
