According to the report, negative views of Russia are largely confined to Europe and other Western liberal democracies.

Positive views about Russia, however, are maintained in most countries of the world, including regional economic and political powers such as China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Vietnam, Algeria, Morocco and Pakistan.

According to the Guardian, the "Annual Index of Perception of Democracy" conducted after the invasion of Ukraine covered 52 populous countries in Asia, Latin America, the European Union and the United States.

A total of 20 countries believed that economic ties with Russia should not be severed because of the war in Ukraine. According to the poll, the countries with the most negative views of Russia include Poland (87%), Ukraine (80%), Portugal (79%), Italy (65%), the United Kingdom (65%), and Sweden (77%). , The United States (62%) and Germany (62%).
