The screening will be followed by a review session by Iranian critic Kurosh Jahed.

“Coup de Chance” depicts the lives of Fanny and Jean, who appear to be the ideal couple living a successful life in Paris. Their world is turned upside down when Fanny unexpectedly encounters Alain, an old friend from high school. Sparks fly as they rekindle emotions from the past, with Alain openly professing his long-standing love for Fanny. Meanwhile, as Fanny attends her husband's societal events, she begins to question his business motives, which revolve around enriching the already wealthy.

Fanny and Alain embark on a passionate extramarital affair, leading Fanny to contemplate leaving her husband. Suspecting her infidelity, Jean hires criminals to eliminate Alain. After Alain's disappearance, Fanny, believing he has abandoned her, seeks solace in her husband and plans to start a family with him.

However, Fanny's mother, Camille, uncovers suspicious details regarding a former colleague of Jean who died under mysterious circumstances. Despite Fanny's disbelief, Camille suspects foul play and tries to warn her daughter. Realizing his mother-in-law poses a threat to his secrets, Jean orchestrates a dangerous scheme during a hunting trip to eliminate Camille.

While Jean and Camille are in the woods, Fanny uncovers a revealing manuscript in Alain's apartment that raises questions about his sudden disappearance. As a tense confrontation ensues between Jean and Camille, a tragic accident occurs, leading to unexpected consequences for all involved. The film delves into themes of betrayal, manipulation, and the consequences of deceit in relationships.

Starring Lou de Laâge, Valérie Lemercier, Melvil Poupaud, and Niels Schneider, the film was premiered at the 80th Venice International Film Festival. The film has garnered generally positive reviews from critics.
