MojNews-Four people were killed in two separate attacks in eastern Iraq on Saturday, according to a local police officer.

Daesh / ISIS militants attacked a police checkpoint in Buhriz, south of Diyala province, killing two policemen, captain Habib al-Shimari said. He said a husband and his wife were also found dead inside their home in the same area.

Iraqi authorities have launched an investigation to determine the group behind the killing.

In mid-۲۰۱۴, Daesh/ISIS overran roughly one-third of Iraq.

By late ۲۰۱۷, the Iraqi army  recovered most if not all the territories lost to the terrorist group .
