China rejects US call for increased pressure on Russia

MojNews_ Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi had a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on Saturday.

While Blinken said the United States wanted more countries to impose more sanctions on Moscow for Russia's military strike on Ukraine, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang warned of any action to escalate tensions.

China's foreign minister has said his country opposes any recent escalation of tensions.

In response to Western sanctions against Russia, China's foreign ministry said China was opposed to unilateral illegal sanctions against Russia. China's foreign ministry says it does not approve of the use of sanctions as a solution to problems.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin recently said that China and Russia are each other's strategic partners, but not allies. Therefore, Beijing will not interfere in matters that will be considered as a third group.
