European Union's statistics office Eurostat has recently said that the trade volume between Iran-EU trade exceeds €4.2b in 11 months of 2023.

MojNews- European Union's statistics office Eurostat has recently said that the trade volume between Iran-EU trade exceeds €4.2b in 11 months of 2023. 

Based on the Eurostat data, the trade between the two sides fell 12 percent in the said 11 months in comparison to the previous year’s same period when the figure stood at €4.793 billion.

As reported, the EU’s exports to Iran from January to November 2023 stood at €3.484 billion, registering a decrease of eight percent compared to the same period of 2022 when the EU exports to Iran were reported to be €4.813 billion.

The European Union's imports from Iran also reached €730 million in the first 11 months of 2023 with a 25 percent decrease compared to the same period in 2022. EU imported €980 million of goods from Iran in January-November 2022.

The Eurostat’s data show that Iran’s exports to the union however increased by 24 percent in November 2023 compared to the same month in 2022.
