MojNews- Hossein Shirzad promised to help provide necessary finances to localize seed production and related technologies.

In a meeting held on Wednesday in Dr. Shirzad-vice minister and Iran rural cooperative chief -with presence of of Dr.Razaghi, Iran rural cooperative chief executive, Larse word, regional manager of sugar beet seed for German company of KWS, Spanish Agrointec agent and international Erfan Arshan in Iran and issue cooperations, future perspective for high quality seed production and compatible to Iran agricultural needs were discussed.

At the beginning of the meeting Larse word presented a report of KWS conditions, and introduced it as one the biggest and oldest European companies in producing industrial seeds like sugar beet, corn, sunflower, grains and oilseeds.

He added this company provides over 60% of the world sugar beet seeds and 86% of U.S need is annually produced on 530 hectares ,40%  of Russia sugar beet seed with annually 1 million hectare of plantation, 94%  of Switzerland  seed with 80 thousands hectare of plantation, 74% of German seed with annually 269 thousands hectares of plantation and 36% of France market with annually 400 thousands hectares of plantation.

Larse continued: they have also the highest quality of corn seed either seed or animal feeding considering nutrition values, performance and resistance. And the recent years studies in Iran confirm these results and shows the highest performance among the 22 compared numbers.

In this meeting Dr. Razzaghi presented a report about seed activities with production cooperative Corporation for provision of necessary basis of strategic and essential products for industry and agriculture product and describes certain plans of production cooperative network in providing logistic and machines specialized for sugar beet and working with sugar factories. According to previous provision sessions the agent also introduced international Erfan Arshan company to quicken and ease business affairs of seed group of Agrointec which KWS uses aforementioned company to pursue their seed issues and according to previous agreement between KWS and Agrointec of Spain involving development of lines and seed reforming service and the cooperation contract of International Erfan Arshan and cooperative central union of production was in this filed.

Finally, Dr. Hossein Shirzad as well as welcoming all guests, confirmed preparation of rural cooperative of central organization for any cooperation and removing problems and obstacles and subjected plans and mentioned the importance of  provision of high quality seeds for farmers and cooperatives. He also promised the help for finance provision to localized and produce the necessary seeds in Iran and to localize seed production technology.
