Iran to Raise Gas Exports to Turkey

The Islamic Republic of Iran plans to increase natural gas exports to Turkey to 90 million cubic meters per day, an Iranian gas official said.

Addressing a news conference, Valiollah Dini said that Iran will temporarily stop gas exports to Turkey to increase the volume of the exports.
Currently Iran could export 30 million cubic meters of natural gas to Turkey, per day, he said adding that "Iran's gas installations enjoy capacity of exporting 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Turkey annually, which could be raised to 30 million cubic meters per day and 15 billion cubic peters per year.
"Once Iran's 6th nationwide gas pipeline is completed, Iran could export 80 to 90 million cubic meters of natural gas to Turkey, per day," he said.
Along with Turkey, Iran could export gas to Europe via the pipeline, Dini added.
